Discover The Possible Causes Of Morning Nausea

Morning nausea is something which typically afflicts women in the early stages of pregnancy, in fact this phenomenon is so common that it is almost expected, and many physicians will give advice to women on how to treat the condition even before there is any sign of it developing. There are, of course, many other reasons why a condition such as this could develop, and many of these relate to dietary imperfections or fears buried deep within the mind. It has been estimated that there are several hundred possible causes of every case of nausea, so making an exact diagnosis is not always possible.

If you have just woken up in the morning feeling nauseous, there could be a variety of reasons. The most likely, as long as you are not pregnant, is that you have eaten something which was carrying a bacterial infection. In this case, the nausea will almost certainly develop into full blown sickness and will lead you to vomiting. This is just something which has to happen, as your body needs to effectively deal with the poisonous attack which has been launched upon it. Trying to prevent this using over the counter medicines could be counter-productive, so it is best not to do so.

The greatest proportion of nausea cases early in the day are found in women who are in the early stages of pregnancy. This is such a common phenomenon that it is expected before it happens, and many expectant mothers get their medicines in to deal with it before it even happens. It is important not to rely to too great an extent upon synthetic drugs, as anything which is fed into your body is taken in by the unborn child as well. Take the steps to improve your diet and to look after your body and get enough rest, long before you even think about using drugs.

stop nausea

It is possible that a case of morning nausea outside pregnancy could be caused by a mental factor, as many people with psychological conditions are disturbed during the night. If there are buried memories within the subconscious mind, it can take a deep therapy session to reach them and remove them. Hypnotherapy has consistently proven to be effective at doing this, although no therapy is ever 100% guaranteed to work. Milder cases where the problem is more recent and not really buried can be cured by cognitive therapy or general counseling.

Even if there is a mental issue or pregnancy, there is no guarantee that there is not also a physical problem, especially if the sickness is accompanied by other pains in the stomach even when you are not feeling nauseous. The only way to find out for sure is to have a medical examination, but there may be tell tale signs. If you have any heartburn or acid reflux, it is virtually certain that your body is in a highly acidic state and that you need to take action to counter this. You may even have a stomach ulcer, which in some cases can be serious.

There are many different ways of handling morning nausea, but one of the most effective is to begin going to bed earlier in the evening, and setting the alarm for an earlier time in the morning. This will allow you get into a more peaceful state before you need to get up and attend to your daily duties, and this should lessen the problem as long as it is done in conjunction with other good health practices. A healthy diet and adequate rest are the first essentials in dealing with morning nausea.
